Idempotence.

Philosophy is the method that is able to extract something from nothing. It is additive; what is ‘added’ arises from the void and what is ‘added to’ is already multiple (Badiou). Philosophy supposes a free mediating agency surrounded on all sides by multiple objects, the parameters of those objects being defined by nothing.

Idempotence is the condition where that which defines the object is object. It is not nothing that lay outside of things, it is only ‘thing’.

An analogy of computer code:

..0011010001111010101010111010010101011001101010110001110011010011110101010011101010001101011101010110101101011111010100100011010110010110101101000011010110101010101011….

Real conventional Philosophy functions, arises as method, in the consideration that only 1’s are knowable, such that 0’s are the unknown/void/ nothing.

Idempotence functions through the ‘positivity’ of all coding.

The distinction to be made, though, is that these conditions do not reduce to either. One functions unto itself, incapable of acknowledging or understanding anything outside of its designations; and one describes that state. They do not reduce to a common whole-ness.
